As someone who has been roaming the streets of Los Santos since 2013, I can confidently say that few games have managed to keep their world feeling alive as well as Grand Theft Auto V. From the explosive arrival of the Heist DLC to the high-life apartments and the constant influx of vehicles and weapons, Rockstar has never really abandoned this virtual playground. Yet for all that content, one question has always lingered in the back of my mind: why are we still stuck with just one strip club?

The Vanilla Unicorn has been a staple since launch, but after thousands of visits with friends, the novelty wears thin. The routines are predictable, the dialogue loops endlessly, and the location on the edge of Strawberry doesn’t exactly scream “variety.” That’s why the recent resurfacing of an old rumor has caught my attention all over again. It seems Rockstar may finally be preparing to add not just one, but two additional strip clubs to the game.

Back in 2014, a few eagle-eyed community members started digging through game files and comparing environmental details. One prominent discovery came from YouTuber MrBoss, who uncovered two suspicious interior images that closely resemble strip club layouts. What made the find especially convincing was that these interiors didn’t match any existing building in the game. MrBoss even took us on a virtual tour, pointing out potential construction sites around Los Santos where these venues could slot in. The tiny nightclub near the Vespucci Canals and an unmarked building in East Vinewood both seemed like prime candidates. The speculation was intoxicating: a new kind of after-dark entertainment was on the way.

But why am I talking about a 12-year-old rumor in 2026? Because Rockstar has a habit of sitting on ideas for an absurdly long time. Remember how the Heist DLC took two years after launch to materialize? Or how the Casino finally opened its doors in 2019 after being teased since day one? In the same vein, I wouldn’t be surprised if those strip club interiors have been idling on a development server, waiting for the right moment to be dusted off. With frequent updates still rolling out for GTA Online—yes, even while the gaming world fixates on GTA VI—this might finally be the year those forgotten nightspots come to life.

Let’s imagine what these additions could mean for the game. First, the immersion factor would get a serious boost. Los Santos is a sprawling metropolis, yet its nightlife feels oddly limited. Sure, you can hit the Vanilla Unicorn, get a lap dance, or awkwardly throw cash onto a stage, but after that, the nighttime economy dries up. Two new clubs could introduce different atmospheres: maybe one is a high-end lounge with a strict dress code and expensive champagne, while the other leans into a grungier, street-level vibe. Imagine being able to start a bar fight, become a bouncer for a night, or even run your own illicit business out of the back room. Rockstar has given us massive updates like Cayo Perico and The Contract, so these clubs could easily be tied to new mission strands. Will we see a crossover with the nightclub management gameplay that already exists? Perhaps the new venues could become expansions of our existing empire, complete with unique VIP missions and a fresh roster of eccentric characters.

Of course, I have to ask the uncomfortable question: is this really what the community wants right now? In 2026, GTA Online’s player base is split between veterans counting down the days until GTA VI and newer players who are still discovering the old map for the first time. Adding more strip clubs might feel like a superficial distraction when what many of us truly crave is a deeper single-player expansion, a revamp of the older heists, or even quality-of-life improvements like reduced loading times (yes, I know, we made progress there, but still!). Then again, Rockstar has always excelled at creating spaces where players can simply exist. Some of my fondest memories aren’t of shootouts or car chases, but of quiet moments with friends at the Vanilla Unicorn, laughing at the absurdity of it all. More spaces for those kinds of memories wouldn’t hurt.

There’s also a practical angle. The GTA V map is enormous, yet so many interiors are locked behind specific missions. Permanent, accessible locations give the world texture. The High Life DLC added apartments, the Executives update brought offices, and later we got nightclubs proper. Two new strip clubs would plug a noticeable gap in the adult entertainment sector. Will they finally let us interact with the environment beyond the standard emote wheel? Could we see dynamic events, like a police raid or a rival gang showing up? A player can dream.

So, will I be making a trip to these clubs if and when they open? Absolutely. Even if it’s just to run through a new set of interior decorations and snap some photos in director mode, I’ll be there. Rockstar hasn’t officially confirmed anything yet, and I fully expect them to remain silent until an update trailer drops out of nowhere. But the evidence from those leaked interiors, combined with the studio’s history of slow-burn content delivery, keeps my hopes alive. Maybe by this time next year, we’ll all be arguing about which new strip club has the best soundtrack. Until then, I’ll keep driving past that mysterious building in East Vinewood, wondering if today is the day the lights finally flicker on.
